Army ROTC Scholarship

It is a scholarship given according to merit, leadership, and community service and not a need-based scholarship. In this scholarship, candidates get tuition and mandatory fee, apart from this they are provided with book allowance and $1,200 per year. 


Stipend

All selected candidates get a stipend in the range of

Freshman $300
Sophomore $350
Junior $450
Senior $500

Military Obligation

After one is selected for this scholarship they are expected to

  • Sign a contract with the Secretary of the Army 

  • Between Junior and Senior Year attend a 30 day Cadet Leadership Course (CLC)

  • After the completion of the degree, the candidate has to serve on Army active duty, National Guard, or Army Reserves

  • The candidate has to serve the military for a period of 8 years.

High School ROTC Scholarship (4-3 year advanced degree)  

  • Awarded to high school juniors who will soon graduate

  • The scholarship offers full tuition and mandatory fees, book allowance and the monthly cost of living

  • Eligibility: US Citizens between the age of 17 to 27

  • GPA: 2.5 or more from a scale of 4

To get more from this scholarship one have to go through Personal Interview and Medical Examination

  • Personal Interview: This interview is mostly conducted in person but if the person is at a distance then phone interview is conducted. The travel expense has to be taken care by the candidate.

  • Medical Interview: It is conducted by the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DODMERB). All who are medically qualified would get benefit in the scholarship.


Campus-Based Scholarship (2-4 years)  

  • Students who were not offered and did not apply for the High School ROTC Scholarship or Green to Gold program.

  • These are extremely limited scholarship

  • May range from 2-4 years

  • The scholarship offers full tuition and mandatory fees, book allowance and the monthly cost of living

  • Eligibility: US Citizen less than the age of 31

  • GPA: 2.5 or more from a scale of 4

Guaranteed Reserve Force Duty Scholarship  

  • This scholarship is designed for candidates who are interested in serving the U.S. Army Reserves or National Guard

  • The scholarship offers full tuition and mandatory fees, book allowance and the monthly cost of living

  • The candidate will also receive weekend drill and annual training pay as the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP). 


Dedicated Army National Guard and Army Reserve Scholarship  

  • This scholarship is for 2.5 to 3 years

  • This scholarship cover mandatory and tuition fee, with book allowance and the monthly stipend

  • Eligibility: US Citizen less than the age of 31 with a score of 920 in SAT or 19 in ACT and must have completed ROTC Basic Course requirements or Basic Training

  • GPA: 2.5 or more from a scale of 4


Green to Gold Scholarship

  • This scholarship is for army members who have the opportunity to obtain a baccalaureate degree

  • If being in an active duty and is accepted to a college then they can go to complete Green to Gold Scholarship

  • Eligibility: US Citizen less than the age of 31, with 2 years of active duty, should pass Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) within the last 6 months with 150 or more with a minimum of 60 in each event

  • GPA: 2.5 or more from a scale of 4
