Physics is the branch of science that deals with the study of nature and properties of matter and energy. It also deals with the study of various types of forces and energy around us.
An Accredited Physics School creates a pathway for the students to enrol in physics programs offered by the Colleges/Universities which are funded by the federal government or the state government.
The organization that accredits Physics is the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), it is a non-governmental organization that accredits post-secondary education programs in applied and natural science.
The subjects which are taught to the Physics students are both theoretical and practical. Some of the subjects/concepts which are taught are Refraction, Reflection, Electrostatics, Dimension, Diffraction.
An Associate’s degree in Physics requires around 15-20 credits and takes around two years to complete.
A Bachelor’s degree in Physics is a four-year degree program that will require a minimum of 24-30 credits
A Master’s degree in Physics is a one-year degree program that requires 30-40 credits.
There are few requirements which need to be fulfilled before one applies for an admission in the Physics program. The student should have a high school diploma with a minimum of 2.0- 3.0 GPA.
With a degree in Physics, a student will have a deeper knowledge of the energy and forces around. The subject also improves the intellectual skills, research skills, numeracy, and computing.
