Cowley College is a public college established in the year 1922 and is recognized as a premier vocational technical college. The college was initially termed as Arkansas City Junior College. In 1965 the college was renamed as Cowley County Community College

Cowley College has two educational centers, an online college, outreach centers, and a service center. The college offers a high-quality education at a significantly lower cost. The vision of the college is to champion the relevance of two-year colleges in higher education by holistic training and workforce advancement opportunities.
