College Scholarships are designed to meet the needs and requirements of the students who are unable to pay for college expenses.

The Last Dollar scholarship means that it is a scholarship that bridges between the student's financial aid and the academic costs such as book supplies, housing, and other expenses. It is awarded to students when the students Expected Family Contribution (EFC) or the other financial aid provided to students is less than the total cost of tuition and fees.  The last dollar scholarship varies between states and can sometimes be the decisive factor in paying the college fees.

The various scholarships provided to fill the gap between the Expected Family Contribution and college fees are sometimes the determining factor for a student’s educational career. These are the scholarships provided to pay for the minor requirements within a college. There are various organizations, institutions, companies, and universities providing last-dollar scholarships to aid the students to be able to pay college fees and continue his/her education. Various organizations provide these scholarships such as CORE Philadelphia last dollar scholarships, and Federal Pell grant, etc.
