Mcneese State University is a public university headquartered at Lake Charles, Louisiana. It is established in 1939, it is one of the top public universities in the U.S. It has its origin as Lake Charles Junior College, is the forerunner of McNeese State University. This school changed its name to John McNeese Junior College to honor John McNeese. He is a popular educator in Southwest Louisiana. In 1970 Mc Neese University is named officially as the current name.
