Military Scholarship Overview

For the U.S citizens who sacrifice their education and life for serving the country are given special benefits financially to assist the educational expenses and pursue their dream career. The scholarships are offered to students who made the brave choice of joining the Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy or Marine Corps as an appreciation for their services. The scholarships are awarded to men and women who were members of the military, students whose parents, any student who is a dependent child or spouse of an active member. The scholarships are available for students who are planning to join the U.S. military or the members of the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) as high school students.

Among the several financial aids available, scholarships are the easiest and simplest of the aids as the money received as a scholarship need not be paid back. The students are awarded scholarship based on their cumulative GPA and competitive exams as well. The scholarships are an act of gratitude to the sacrifices the students had to make in order to serve their country. The scholarships help the students meet their educational expenses including the tuition and fees, accommodation, books and other supplies and so on. Some of the scholarships awarded by the federal government, state and private organizations and other military associations are enlisted below.

  • Tillman Scholars Program: The students who have served as U.S. veterans and service members of the different U.S. military branches who are on active duty are awarded the financial benefits through Tillman Scholars Program by the Pat Tillman Foundation.
