Northeastern State University (NSU) is a public university found in 1846 as the Cherokee National Female Seminary. Later in 1909, the Oklahoma legislature bought the Female Seminary and created Northeastern State Normal School. Now it is the fourth-largest public 4-year institution in Oklahoma. It empowers students with learning hubs in three campuses which are in Tahlequah, Muskogee, and  Broken Arrow. All these campuses together serve 8,109 students which consist of 5,346 full-timers and 2,763 part-timers.
