NSU Wolves has both men's and women's athletic teams and 15 athletic programs. Athletic students have an average GPA of 3.40. They participate in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. They won several intercollegiate tournaments.

NSU Basketball - The basketball athletics teams, both men's and women's holds a record of being no.1 in national attendance leaders for a decade. They participate in intercollegiate tournaments.

NSU Football - The football team has NCAA Division II affiliation. Swisher Field is the university football ground name where the players practice for tournaments and intercollegiate tournaments are being held.
