At this point in time getting a high school scholarship is as important as getting your dream college.

But, the good thing is that there are so many colleges to apply and they all are not that difficult to get.

The scholarship is an excellent way to supplement the cost of tuition, room, and board, books, and other expenses, especially since they don't ever have to be paid back.

AAA South Jersey Scholarship Program  

  • Awards Available: 1

  • Deadline: March 31, 2019

  • Applicant should be a high school senior of Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester or Salem counties and they would be elected on the basis of an annual essay contest.

  • Scholarship amount: $5,000

Berea College Tuition Promise Scholarship  

  • Awards Available: Variable

  • Deadline: January 31, 2019

  • All students admitted to Berea College receive our Tuition Promise Scholarship.

  • Scholarship amount: $100,000

Edward & Merilyn Borchers Family Foundation Scholarship  

  • Awards Available: 3

  • Deadline: February 15, 2019

  • The applicant should be of a Russian high school pursuing a two or four-year degree course at an accredited community college or university. This Scholarship is renewable for up to three years.

  • Scholarship amount: $8,000

Oklahoma Tuition Equalization Grant Program (OTEG)  

  • Awards Available: Varies

  • Deadline: Varies

  • Applicants get need-based grants for Oklahoma residents enrolled in as full-time undergraduates at any not-for-profit, private/independent institutions of higher education in Oklahoma.

  • Scholarship amount: $2,000

The Virginia Zank Scholarship for Writing Studies  

  • Awards Available: 1

  • Deadline: February 15, 2019

  • Applicants must submit a 500-word essay describing their relationship to writing. Apart from this, the applicant should choose English as major with a 21 ACT score or higher.

  • Scholarship amount: $10,000


These scholarship for high school students are turning out to be of great use to them. As a large number of high school students tend to discontinue or not prefer to go to college for higher education due to financial problems. If you are thinking of applying for a scholarship, your first step would be filling up a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Your school or colleges financial-aid office can also help you in applying for a financial aid.  

  3) What are the benefits if I apply for a scholarship for a High school student? 

A scholarship is a gift or free money given by an Institution to eligible candidates. The financial-aid can help high school students cover for their college fees and other expenses if authorized by the scholarship providing organization. The scholarship grant can take off a huge burden from a student's shoulders, helping them excel in their studies and other related fields. 

  4) Can I apply for multiple scholarships even if I have been granted one? 

Yes, you can apply for scholarships. You are eligible to receive multiple scholarships. But there are some scholarships organizations that do that allow their candidates to apply for other scholarships And will mention it in the eligibility criteria. However, you cannot apply for the same scholarship in the same given year. 

  5) What is the biggest source of scholarship for college? 

The colleges you are applying to may provide a good amount as a scholarship to you as compared to other sources of scholarship. You should do a good research for a college before applying to one. You should start applying and targeting colleges where your chances will increase to receive a scholarship more.
