Albuquerque Community Foundation sponsors ACF Robby Baker Memorial Scholarship to help students financially to help them pursue the dream of their education.
The foundation has been in existence since 1981 proving grants to the non-profit organizations to serve them in the best way and help them become more self-reliant.
The Robby Baker Scholarship Fund was established by Robby’s family in the year 2003. This award is given to graduating senior from La Cueva High School who has a reading disability, learning barrier or language learning.
The students applying for this scholarship must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to receive this award and determine their family position.
Students must submit an official transcript along with their SAT/ACT scorecards to prove their academic excellence.
Candidates must prepare a resume and personal essay describing their interests and description of how a candidate is coping with their disabilities.
Applicants must provide with up to two letters of recommendation from teachers or counselors.
This scholarship provides $850 annually and is non-renewable.
The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate each year.
All the necessary documents must be submitted to the institution no later than April 04, 2020 to be eligible for the scholarship. Applications and other information are available online from the Albuquerque Community Foundation website.
An applicant must submit an essay on how he/she is going through dyslexia or other disabilities to read.
Candidates applying for the scholarship must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0 or above to be one to get the award amount
A recipient should be enrolled full-time or part-time at a non-profit or public institution or a non-profit technical school.
