ACHE Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship

The field of Healthcare is growing up day by day. Every day new innovations are coming out from each side of the world in the field of healthcare. It's very important to make a good healthcare team in every country especially in the US. But the education cost will be very high for these kinds of courses. The Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives providing the scholarship to students who are ready to pursue healthcare management graduate programs to build an effective healthcare team in the US

The Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives established this scholarship in honor of Foster G. McGaw, the founder of the American Hospital Supply Corporation. This scholarship is offered to provide financial aid to minority students in healthcare management graduate programs to help offset tuition costs, student loans, and expenses.

ACHE Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship Amount

The Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship is designated for minority students enrolled in their final year of a healthcare management graduate program. Each scholarship is worth $5,000. Between the McGaw and Dent scholarships, ACHE awards up to 15 scholarships each year.

How To Apply?

  • Complete the online application in its entirety.

  • Be sure to include the following with your application:

    • Current resume or curriculum vitae

    • Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts

    • Three current letters of recommendation (one must be from your graduate program director)

    • Application Essay including information on your; Reason for pursuing a career in healthcare management your career aspirations and goals, History in the field, Financial need, Community/Civic engagement and volunteerism

Applications are accepted between January. 1 and March 31, 2020. All applicants will be notified about the status of their applications by letter in June 2020.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a citizen of U.S. or Canada.

  • The applicant must be a minority student.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in a healthcare management graduate program as a full-time student.

  • The applicant must display financial need.
