About the Scholarship

The Ada Leigh Soles Memorial Professional Librarian and Archivist Incentive Program - Masters Students scholarship program is a set of various programs like Bachelor's Degree Program, Master's Degree Program, Doctoral degree program. In addition to this, the scholarship gives assistance for the tuition fees and other direct expenses of the applied eligible candidates.

How to apply for the scholarship?

  • Applications are available on the official website Delaware Higher Education Office and all the applicants must access the online application in order to apply for this scholarship.

  • A student must be submitted the FAFSA certificate.
  • A student must submit the Official scorecards of ACT/SAT to demonstrate the completion of the graduation semester as well as academic performance.

  • In addition to that applicant must write and submit and a two-page essay on a topic listed in the scholarship application.

    The awarded amount for the scholarship:

    The amount awarded for this scholarship is $11,600 per year and is renewable upto three additional years for undergraduate students and one additional year for graduate students. The number of the award given to the eligible candidates per year varies depends on the number of eligible candidates applied for this scholarship and availability of the fund amount.

    Deadline of the scholarship:

    The deadline for the scholarship is the 3rd of June.

Eligibility Criteria

The applied candidate should be a current employee at least two years at a Delaware public library, county department library, public school library, or state agency library or archive.

He/she must reside at Delaware.

 He/she must be an eligible non-citizen or resident of the US.

The applied candidate must be a student of either a bachelor's degree or a doctoral degree.

He/she must have to continue employment as a librarian or archivist in a public library, public school library, state agency, or political subdivision in Delaware in order for the loan to be forgiven.
