About the Scholarship
This Award is sponsored by the Architects Foundation who in partnership with the American Institute of Architects strives to bring out the best in design and develop the next generation design community.
This scholarship is designed by the AIA to help students fund their education without any financial burden. Diversity Advancement Scholarship is created to help minority students pursue a dream of their career in architecture.
How to apply for the Scholarship?
The application should fill the online application form that can be found on the American Institute of architecture official website.
FAFSA application form must also be submitted as it is used to determine the financial position of a student and their family in paying for the tuition.
The student must have to submit official transcripts for every school attended and SAT/ACT scorecard before the deadline.
An applicant must also submit an essay explaining his/her interest in architecture and future academic goals.
In addition to this, a student must also submit a resume of no more than 2 pages and 3 media samples of drawing or a sketch of any object, human, buildings, and anything of that sort.
Award amount and Deadline
The award amount of this scholarship is up to $20,000 that is renewable for 5 years.
All the documents and records must be submitted to the institution no later than a fixed deadline date i.e., on January 17.
An applicant must be a legal resident of the United States.
A student must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or above out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.
A recipient planning to register in a NAAB accredited architecture degree course.
