About the Scholarship

AIM Marksmanship Scholarship Program is accredited by the Amateur Trapshooting Association.

AIM Marksmanship Scholarship Program is an official youth program of the ATA. The ATA will offer one scholarship for each of the following categories: academics, integrity, and marksmanship. 


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • The students applying for this scholarship must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to receive this award and determine their financial position.

  • Applicants are required to provide the appropriate documentation as listed in both the core and elective requirements sections.

  • A student must attach an essay on the topic How to have your successes on the trap field shaped you as an individual?

  • An applicant must also attach three letters of reference, including one from your coach or another ATA Member and one from a teacher.


Award Amount

  • This scholarship provides $2500 which is a non-renewable award.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate each year.


Deadline information

Students are informed to submit their scholarship application and other requirements no later than July 01, 2020 to be an eligible applicant.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a current member of the ATA and AIM and be a legally recognized United Citizen.

  • A recipient must be between 16 and 22 years of age to be eligible to receive the award amount.

  • The applicant should be recognized by the Amateur Trapshooting Association as an All American or AIM All-Star.

  • A student must be a shooter with an average of 90% or above. Averages will be calculated based on the ATA registered targets.

  • A recipient must shoot at least 2000 registered targets in 2018 and 2019 target years.
