About the Scholarship

Airbus Leadership Grant is awarded to those students who exhibit leadership potential.

This scholarship program was started to provide financial assistance to students to pay for education by the Women in Aviation, International.

The foundations is a non-profit organization that was started to assist, support and encourage women in all aviation career fields and interests. WAI promotes public understanding of the accomplishments and contributions of women in aviation.

Conditions for applying?

  • Students must first submit their completed application form to meet the requirements. An application form can be found on the official website of the scholarship.

  • The students are required to submit two letters of recommendation and an essay in 500 words describing his/her career and leadership skills.

  • A copy of all aviation licenses and medical certificates must be submitted.

  • The understudies applying for this award must present a FAFSA application form that generates SAR and determines the financial position of a student's family to pay for their education.

Award Amount

  • This scholarship amounts to $5000 annually which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one deserving candidate each academic year based on the total number of applications received.

Deadline Information

All the documents along with the application must be presented to the concerned department of the organization on or before the end of October 12, 2020. Students are advised to submit their forms in advance to avoid their application from being disqualified.

Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant must be a legally recognized US citizen or the eligible non-US citizen.

  • A student applying for a scholarship must be pursuing a degree in an aviation-related field.

  • To be eligible for the scholarship, a candidate must be exceptional at their academics and maintain a GPA of at least 3 or above.

  • Candidates must be a member of Women in Aviation, Internation and be in a sophomore year.
