About the Scholarship

Alice Mcarver Ratchford Scholarship is accredited by the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The Alice McArver Ratchford Scholarship is open to female students at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. You must live on campus and have never been married. You must also not have a car and have received no other scholarships to be eligible for this award. 


What are the basic requirements needed to apply for this scholarship?

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application is to be submitted by the students applying for this scholarship grant.

  • Students must demonstrate financial need to meet the eligibility.

  • Candidates are required to provide an essay related to meaningful event, experience, or accomplishment.


Alice Mcarver Ratchford Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $1000 each year and the award amount varies depending on the financial need of the applicant. 

  • The scholarship is renewable as long as the recipient is enrolled in school and continues to meet the scholarship qualifications.

  • Approximately three to five awards offered annually. This number can vary each year based on the number of qualified applicants.

     

Deadline info

The applications are to be presented before the finish of March 01, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online at the University of North Carolina at the Greensboro site.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must live on-campus or plan to live on campus at UNC-Greensboro.

  • The applicant must not possess an automobile.

  • The applicant must be a female and unmarried.

  • The applicant may not have any scholarships in conjunction with the Ratchford Scholarship.
