The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois provides financial assistance to students who are pursuing a career in the field of education.
The Alpha Delta Kappa XI Education Scholarship program is available to students residing in the Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago counties only.
The scholarship program is awarded based on the academic and extracurricular achievements, leadership qualities and involvement in community service of the student.
The scholarship amount and number of awards vary every year depending on the funding received by the organization and the number of applicants.
The past recipients of the scholarship are eligible to renew the awards by maintaining the eligibility criteria.
The students enrolled for graduate degree programs are eligible to apply for the scholarship as well.
The recipient must intend to work in the elementary or secondary schools.
The applicant must log in and register on the Web Portal on the official website of the organization.
The applicants must submit an essay based on the criteria given.
The application must be completed and submitted on the web portal after registering.
The applicant must go through the instructions and guidelines before starting the application process.
The scholarship application must be submitted by February 1st without fail. No applications will be accepted past the deadline. Incomplete applications will be considered invalid.
The applicant must be a permanent resident of Boone, Ogle, Stephenson or Winnebago County.
The student must have plans to teach elementary or secondary school.
The applicant must be at least a sophomore in a postsecondary institution.
