AMS Minority Scholarships

The AMS scholarship applicable to those students who have been traditionally underrepresenting in the science, this scholarship mainly focus on the minority students, and it includes Hispanic, Native America and Black African students.

AMS Minority Scholarships provide $6,000 amount for two years to all those students who are eligible for this program, they split this amount into two part and provide each year. $3,000 for one year to freshman, second-year fund completely depend on completion of the first year.

Application process -

  • Candidate must complete the application form, they have to fill all the blank space.

  • Candidate must submit the transcript of high school which shows past three years.

  • Students should submit SAT score

  • Students also required to submit both SAT and ACT. if a student appears only for one exam he/she can put zero for another exam

Students cannot submit the application form if all the stages are not complete. The student has to keep track of the timing and all the information regarding the application form or selection process.

Deadline for this program is February 2nd, the candidate must submit the application form before the deadline or he/she will be disqualified from this program.





Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a U.S. citizen or has a permanent residence.

  • The applicant must be entering the freshman year of college if the student is minor.

  • The student must be planning to pursue a career in the atmospheric or related oceanic and hydrologic sciences.
