Steve Anchell and Donna Conrad have started the Anchell International Documentary Photography Scholarship with the motive is to encourage student's personal involvement in social issues and promote socially conscious documentary photography.
The scholarship is open to all fully-matriculated undergraduate and graduate students, irrespective of the degree major, gender, ethnic background, or country of residence of an applicant.
A student must complete a scholarship application form that can be found on the official website of the scholarship.
In addition to that, an applicant must type a 300-word essay about his/her photo project.
Additionally, he/she must submit a letter of recommendation from an academic advisor and letter of acceptance from university/college.
A single .doc, .docx, or .pdf file with 12 - 20 images in the order you want them viewed.
Additionally, a copy of a student's most recent college or high school transcript and resume should be given to the concerned financial aid department.
The scholarship award amounts to $1000 per academic year to deserving students.
All the necessary documents must be sent to the concerned department of the organization no later than September 13 to be eligible for the scholarship. Any application sent post-September will be rejected.
An applicant must be enrolled in an accredited community college, 4-year institution or vocational/trade school.
To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be an undergraduate from any state or country.
A student must be exceptional at their academics and in their respective institution.
