About the Scholarship

Ann Crawford Alexander Memorial Scholarship is accredited by The Lexington Community Foundation. the foundation was established in the year 1982, the main aim if this establishment is to encourage and strengthen philanthropy to provide a permanent source of funding for opportunities to improve the quality of life,  strengthen the sense of community and benefit future generations in Lexington, Nebraska. 

Ann Crawford Alexander Memorial Scholarship was started by the Ann Crawford Alexander family has established a scholarship in loving memory of Ann. 


What are the basic requirements needed while applying for this scholarship grant?

  • The students applying for this grant must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.

  • Students must demonstrate a desire to help others in their community involvement and/or continuing educational endeavors.

  • Three letters of recommendation, two are to be completed by instructors whose class you have completed or in which you are currently enrolled and the third is to be completed by an adult outside the school system, other than a relative.

  • Must submit a testimony of how Jesus Christ has impacted your life (250 words or less)


Ann Crawford Alexander Memorial Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $1000 which is non-renewable.

  • Payment of the scholarship will be made directly to the educational institution.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the availability of funds.


 Deadline info

The applications are to be presented before the end of April 01, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online on The Lexington Community Foundation website.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant should be a high school graduate or graduating senior or homeschool graduate from the Lexington Community.

  • The applicant must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher.

  • The applicant must showcase qualities of good character, leadership, and Christian faith.

  • The applicant must display community involvement.
