About the Scholarship

This scholarship, sponsored by Chevron and it is awarded in honor of Ann Seki in the year 2010, who is an original member of the Chevron Hispanic Recruiting Team. Ann Seki’s Scholarship available for CHRT sponsored conferences and the annual “Ann Seki Award” created to identify a CHRT member who has demonstrated good leadership quality, outstanding performance to meet the CHRT goals, provided mentoring and demonstrated dedication and passion towards supporting The Chevron Way Values of Diversity, and Partnership.


How to Apply for this scholarship?

  • All candidates must fill and submit the completed scholarship form in order to obtain this scholarship opportunity.

  • A student must write a personal statement addressing a topic determined by Great Minds in STEM. 

  • An applicant must also submit his or her resume.

  • In addition to that, one peer letter of recommendation must be submitted from a friend, classmate, lab partner, roommate, teammate, or fellow member of a campus or community organization.

  • And one faculty letter of recommendation must be submitted from a teacher, counselor, principal, dean, or MEP Director

  • Additionally, an official transcript must be provided with the seal of his/her college or high school.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The scholarship is merit-based hence the organization is funding $500 to $10000 to the number of eligible candidates based on the student's academic performance.

All candidates are required to submit the scholarship application form and official documents no later than 1st April 2019.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant should be a citizen or resident of U.S.

  • The applicant must be Hispanic or Latino.

  • The applicant must be majoring in Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Facilities, Mechanical, or Petroleum engineering.

  • The applicant must be a freshman, sophomore, or junior in college.

  • The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.3 or more.
