About the Scholarship

The graduates of Pecatonica High School who are pursuing a career as teachers are awarded the Anthony and Charlotte Kinney Scholarship program by the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois.

The scholarship program is awarded in order to provide financial assistance to those students who are in need.

Anthony and Charlotte Kinney Scholarship Awards

  • The scholarship amount and the number of awards available vary every year depending on the funding received by the organization and the number of applicants.

  • The scholarship fund is used to pay the tuition and fees and the other educational expenses that tag along with attaining higher education.

  • The scholarship can be renewed by reapplying by the past recipients of the awards.

Anthony and Charlotte Kinney Scholarship Application

  • The recipients of the scholarship are selected by the scholarship committee based on the eligibility criteria.

  • The students must register and apply for the scholarship through the Web Portal on the official website of the organization.

  • The applicant must submit an essay based on a general topic prompted.

  • The applicants must go through the guidelines and instructions given before starting the application process.

  • The students must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for an eligible study program.

Anthony and Charlotte Kinney Scholarship Application Deadline

The application must be submitted to the organization by February 1st. Any applications received past the deadline or incomplete will be disqualified.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a graduate of Pecatonica High School.

  • The student should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or more.

  • The applicant must have a major in elementary or middle/secondary math education.
