About the Scholarship
Aquinas College is continuously assessing each student’s ability to contribute to his or her education. Financial aid is awarding the Aquinas College Valedictorian/National Merit Semifinalist Scholarship to high school valedictorians and/or National Merit Semifinalist.
The students are assisted financially to achieve an academic education, various Federal, State, and Institutional financial aid programs are established. In addition to that, applicants must demonstrate their great economical burden in the view of pursuing academic study. The applicants must also show satisfactory academic progress in order to receive this award. All students who will graduate as the valedictorian of their class, as well as all students who have been named National Merit Semifinalists, will receive this scholarship.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
In order to apply for this scholarship, an applicant must fill and submit a FAFSA application form to determine their eligibility and financial position of a student and his/her family.
In addition to FAFSA form, an applicant must provide official documents of his or her service and volunteerism in their community, family and/or at Aquinas College by the end of the study.
Aquinas college financial aid will verify and validate every applicant's valedictorian status from his/her guidance counselor.
To demonstrate academic excellence, a student needs to submit the official transcripts of high school and ACT/SAT scorecards before the deadline.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The scholarship award amounts to $1000 to any number of applicants and it is renewable up to two additional years of student's academic study who maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4 every year.
The applicants wishing to apply for this scholarship must submit all the documents to the institution no later than 1st March 2020.
A recipient must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible for the scholarship.
A student should be a high school valedictorian and/or National Merit Semifinalist.
A student should submit a letter at the end of each school year detailing his or her service and volunteerism in their community, family and/or at Aquinas College.
