About the Scholarship

The Arkansas High-Tech Scholarship Program is devised for Arkansas residents who are U.S. citizens and are currently enrolled in Arkansas based higher secondary educational institution and plan to join full time in the approved technical programs at Arkansas based public post-secondary educational institution.

The scholarship is awarded by the Arkansas Department of Career Education. The program tries to encourage students to opt for higher technical education in the desired field in any of the approved Arkansas Public college or university.

The students should maintain progressive academic records while studying in the institution. Preference is given to the applicants who are final year high school students. 


Arkansas High-Tech Scholarship Awards

  • The award amount is $250 per semester that is, $500 per year.

  • The amount can be renewed every year until four years of the college program.

  • The student must maintain a GPA of 2.5 during all of the seven semesters to maintain the scholarship eligibility. 

  • Approximately, 20 awards are offered every year. 


Arkansas High-Tech Scholarship Application

The eligible students are supposed to go to the official website and register for the scholarship program. The candidate will be required to furnish extra details during the application process.


Arkansas High-Tech Scholarship Deadline

The deadline for filing application for the scholarship program is July 1, 2019. The candidates are required to complete the application process before the deadline.


Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a U.S citizen.

  • Minimum high school GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required.

  • Minimum ACT composite score of 19 or be ranked in the upper ten percent of their high school graduating class.

  • For the scholarship to remain, the awarded student must maintain a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
