About the Scholarship

Arthur W. Pense Scholarship is awarded by The Arc Newyork. the foundation was established in the year 1949 to serve a critical mission – to improve the quality of life for people with developmental and other disabilities. The Arc New York's mission is to advocate and provide support and services to people with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities, emphasizing choice and community engagement.

Arthur W. Pense Scholarship was established to honors Dr. Arthur W. Pense who was responsible for programs provided to people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities through the State of New York, it was started to support physical or occupational therapy degree program students.


How to apply for this scholarship grant?

  • Applicants must submit the completed application before the due date.

  • Students must complete and submit applications directly to The Arc New York

  • The application must be signed by the PT/OT Department Chairperson.

  • A letter of recommendation must have submitted which is to be signed from a current academic instructor.

  • The candidates are educated to present their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to get this award.


Arthur W. Pense Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $3000 which is to be claimed within 4 years, and the award is issued as $1500 per semester.

  • A total of 1 award is offered by this scholarship each year.


Deadline info
