About the Scholarship

Atlantic Aviators Aviation Scholarship is recognized and is sponsored by the Atlantic Aviators Women in Aviation. The association is a global charitable association devoted to the support and advancement of women in all aeronautics profession fields and interests.

This grant gives assets to encourage young women to think about aviation as a profession. WAI likewise offers educational effort projects to teachers, aviation industry individuals, and youngsters broadly and globally.

How to apply for this scholarship?

  • Applicants are required to submit a 250-word essay explaining about their achievements, and academic goals.

  • The students applying for this scholarship must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to receive this award.

  • Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance for selection committee review.

  • A candidate must provide a copy of a school transcript/report card if applicable to prove their excellence in academics.

  • If applicable, copies of all aviation licenses, medical certificates and last three (3) pages of your pilot logbook must be submitted.

Scholarship Amount

  • This scholarship provides $1000 each year and is non-renewable for high school seniors, college freshmen or sophomores who have demonstrated an aptitude for and have an interest in pursuing, or are currently pursuing an aviation or technology related degree.

  • The total awards offered by this scholarship are limited to 2 candidates each year.

Deadline information

The applications are to be submitted by the end of March 31, 2020. Students are informed to submit their scholarship application and other requirements before the deadline to finish the application process without any hassle. Applications and other information are available online on the Atlantic Aviators Women in Aviation website.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The student must be a high school senior, college freshman or sophomore who has displayed an aptitude for aviation or technology related degree.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited institution for flight training, type ratings, or other aviation-related studies.

  • A candidate must be a legally recognized citizen of the United States to be eligible for the scholarship.
