About the Scholarship

Audria M. Edwards Scholarship Fund sponsored by Peacock Productions, Inc. The organization was founded in 1987 by a local entrepreneur and drag entertainer. To enhance the quality of life of members and allies of the LGBTQ community by offering entertainment, providing scholarships, and networking to celebrate diversity and build equality. The scholarship fund, named for Audria M. Edwards, was established by her children, Elwood “Woody” Johnson (aka Lady Elaine Peacock) and Misty Marie Waters in 1987. 


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application must be submitted by the students applying for this scholarship.

  • The applicant must submit an essay along with their current official transcript.

  • Two letters of recommendation must be submitted by a student.

  • Applicants are required to carefully read and sign the affidavit at the end of the application form


Audria M. Edwards Scholarship Fund amounts to

  • This scholarship provides from $5000 to $10000 annually which is non-renewable.

  • the total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the availability of funds and students meeting their academic progress.


Deadline info

The applications are to be presented before the finish of March 01, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online on the Peacock Productions, Inc website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited institution for a post-secondary undergraduate education.

  • The applicant may be lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.

  • The applicant may have an LGBT parent.

  • The applicant must have resided in the State of Oregon, or Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, or Wahkiakum Counties in Washington for at least one year in.
