About the Scholarship

Airgas an Air Liquide organization, is the leading U.S. provider of modern, medical and specialty to fame gases, just as hardgoods and related items; one of the biggest U.S. providers of security products.

This award provides the honor of Jerry Beker’s. Jerry was very passionate for the distribution business. He starts his career in 1954, he was working for the weeding supply business and family industrial gas.  In 1972 he became the owner of that. He retired in 2010 till that time he showed his leadership quality and executive activity.

The main purpose of this scholarship  is to provide financial help to those people who want to pursue welding engineering.

Selection process - Students must have to submit the application form and selection will be done based on the student’s financial need, leadership quality academic achievement. Educational scholarship committee decides the students who are eligible or not and also they provide the list of the eligible students.

This scholarship provide $2,500 to those students who are eligible for this scholarship and it provides annually. One student will get only one awrd they cant apply for two awards.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should be 18 years of age or above and should have completed at least high school diploma or equivalent.

  • The applicant should be enrolled full-time and should have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and 3.0 for engineering courses.
  • Precedence will be given to a candidate who shows financial need, but it's not mandatory.

  • Candidate should be from USA or Canada and should opt to USA or Canada institutions only.

  • Alabama, Florida, or Georgia candidates will be given precedence.

  • Candidates with prior work experience in industrial gas or welding equipment distributors will be given precedence.
