About the Scholarship
AWS William B. Howell Memorial Scholarship is licensed by The American Welding Society (AWS). The foundation is a non-profit organization which was established in the year 1919 with a global mission to advance the science, technology and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes, including brazing, soldering and thermal spraying.
AWS William B. Howell Memorial Scholarship was started with a purpose to provide financial assistance to those individuals interested in pursuing a career in welding.

Applicants must register for a Profile.
Applicants must create an Academic Profile, which includes a personal statement and career objectives.

This scholarship provides $2500 each year based on the students meeting their requirements.
All awards paid directly to the academic institution by the AWS Foundation.
The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate each year depending on the total availability of funds.
The applications are to be presented before the end of February 15, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application, and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online on the American Welding Society (AWS) website.
Candidate should be a full-time undergraduate with a minimum 4 years degree in the welding program at an accredited university.
Candidate should be at least a part-time student with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
