About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by Berks County Community Foundation, an organization that was founded to help individuals, families, businesses and other organizations to achieve their charitable objectives and improve the quality of life for those residing in Berks County. Their main mission is promoting philanthropy.
This scholarship is for supporting graduating seniors from high school who have participated in student training for anyone sport for at least two years. This is offered to recognize outstanding student trainers from Berks County high school. Students who are involved in the extracurricular and athletics are picked up to provide the award.
How to apply for the scholarship?
In order to apply for the scholarship, an applicant must sign up to their account with the username and the password. Once signed up, a student must proceed with applying for the scholarship.
In addition, a student must also submit the essay in about 500-1000 words explaining their academic and professional goals.
A student must also submit their official high school transcripts and ACT/SAT scorecards before the deadlines.
Award Amount and Deadline
The award amounts to $500 per year and is non-renewable.
The number of awards offered varies each year and depends on the total number of applications received.
All the documents and scorecards must be submitted to the organization on or before March 15.
You have to be a graduating senior from a high school from Berks County.
You must have participated in student training in at least in one sport for a period of two years during your high school.
A student should have an intention to pursue a 4-year degree in Sports Medicine in an accredited university.
