About the Scholarship
The students of New Jersey State who have been affected or is related to someone who has been affected by organ and tissue donation and transplantation are awarded the Betsy Niles Scholarship in the memory of Betsy Niles who was a children’s book editor.
The scholarship program is awarded to high school senior students of the state by the New Jersey Sharing Network Foundation based on the academic status of the students as well.
Betsy Niles Scholarship Awards
The organization provides an amount of $5000 per year, $2500 per semester to eligible students selected by the scholarship committee.
The scholarship amount and number of awards available to the students depend upon the funding received by the organization and the number of applicants every year.
Betsy Niles Scholarship Application
The students must be eligible based on the selection criteria set by the organization.
The student must include the following documents in the application:
The application form available on the official website of the organization must be completed with correct details.
Three letters of recommendation.
The current high school or college transcript.
An essay following the instructions given.
Betsy Niles Scholarship Application Deadline
The application inclusive of all the required documents must be postmarked and submitted to the organization by April 10th without fail. Any applications received past the deadline will not be considered.
The applicant must be a resident of New Jersey.
The applicant must be a full-time high school senior.
The applicant must be an awareness advocate.
The applicant is a family member of someone personally affected by organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
