About the Scholarship
Unity One Credit Union has started Bob Bennett Memorial Scholarship which is the great opportunity for American high school graduating seniors and college students to pursue high academic education. A student must enroll at a 2-year or 4-year vocational/technical school during the current academic year or be a current graduating senior.
How to Apply for Scholarship?
Applicants must submit an essay with their completed scholarship application.
As a credit union member, a student must include the information about the following topics 1) what do you see as the value of this foundation, 2) what makes your credit union different than a for-profit financial institution and 3) how would you make non-credit union members take notice?
Written essays should not exceed 1,000 words in length and must be written in English. Only one essay may be submitted per person.
Award Amount and Deadline
The scholarship fund amount varies based on the places occupied by the students. 1st Place winner will get $1000, 1st Runner-up will get $500, 2nd Runner-up will get $250.
The scholarship deadline date is fixed on 26th April 2019. All applicants must submit an essay on or before the fixed date.
An applicant must be enrolled in an accredited two-year or four-year university, college, vocational or technical school.
A student must be graduating high school senior and be a legally recognized citizen of the university.
A recipient must be a member in good standing of Unity One Credit Union.
A candidate must be good at academics and maintain a GPA of at least 2.8 or above out of 4 to be eligible for the scholarship.
