About the Scholarship

The Boise State WUE Award providing the scholarship for High school students in Washington.Boise State University in order to be considered for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) award. The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is a program for undergraduate students that allows nonresident students to pay 150% of resident tuition. The program is filled on a yearly basis beginning with the fall semester and is set for a maximum of 8 semesters. Transfer awards will vary depending on the number of transfer credits already accumulated. Once you've applied for admission and sent in your high school transcripts and test scores, you will be automatically considered for a WUE award.

WUE recipients receive a savings of approximately $12,886 per year, for four years.


Boise State WUE Award application deadline

Applicants must submit the FAFSA application before October 1, 2019, to avail this scholarship. Make sure the application is submitted before the deadline for the initial reward and applications received beyond October 1, 2019, are not guaranteed to be considered for the WUE award. The application is available on the website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • It requires the students to maintain residency in their home state while receiving assistance.

  • The applicant must have a minimum of 3.20 GPA on a scale of 4.0.

  • The applicant must have a 21+ score in the ACT or 1060+ score in the SAT.

  • The student must be domiciled in Idaho for 12 consecutive months prior to the opening day of the semester while not receiving the WUE to be eligible to gain residency status for fee-paying purposes.
