About the Scholarship

Buena Vista University Trustees Scholarship is authorized and is produced by Buena Vista University. The foundation was established by the Presbyterian Church (USA) in the year 1891 that was started to support physical construction and renovation, as well as further development of regionally-recognized academic programs.

Buena Vista University Trustees Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship that is awarded through competition prior. All eligible students must follow the guideline on the official website to receive the scholarship fund.


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • A student must submit their SAT/ACT score-cards along with the online application filled to demonstrate a student's academic excellence.

  • The understudies applying for this award must present a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application form to determine the financial position of his/her family to pay for their education.

  • Students are required to demonstrate their need for financial assistance by submitting necessary documents.


Scholarship Award Amount

  • This scholarship award amounts to $26000 annually and is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered through this scholarship is limited to 5 candidates each year based on the total number of applications received.


Deadline Information

The applications are to be presented to the financial aid department on or before the end of January 30, 2020. Students are advised to keep track of the deadlines as any application sent post-January 30 will be disqualified.


Eligibility Criteria

  • A student must be exceptional at their academics and have a GPA of 3.5 out of 4 and an ACT composite score of 20 or higher.

  • A student should go through the interview process before he's selected for the scholarship.

  • An applicant must study full time and be residing in the United States.
