About the Scholarship

The single-parents who are undergraduate or graduate students are offered scholarship opportunities by the BYU Marriott School of Business.

The BYU Marriott School Single Parent Scholarships are available to students who have the custody of one or more children and enrolled in a BYU Marriott program.

The scholarship programs are awarded to students have good academic standing as a support and encouragement to pursue higher education without having to face any financial obstacles.


BYU Marriott School Single Parent Scholarships Awards

  • The scholarship programs are funded by the National Advisory Council of the School.

  • The scholarship amount and the number of awards available for applicants vary depending on the donations made by the council and the number of applicants.

  • The awards are given to recipients who are selected by the scholarship committee on the basis of eligibility criteria and the applications submitted.


BYU Marriott School Single Parent Scholarships Application

  • The applicants must be eligible according to the given criteria to apply for the scholarship programs.

  • The application form available on the official website of the school must be completed with the required information and important documents must be attached.

  • The students who get married during the period of scholarship programs will be disqualified from the program.


BYU Marriott School Single Parent Scholarships Application Deadline

The applications inclusive of all the required documents must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office of the School of Business prior to March 1st without fail.

No applications will be accepted if incomplete or submitted past the deadline.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a single parent with custody of one or more dependent children.

  • The applicant must be officially admitted to a BYU Marriott program.

  • The student must remain in good academic standing and will be reevaluated yearly.

  • The applicant should not get married during the term of the scholarship.
