About the Scholarship

The CalvertHealth Foundation accredits the Calvert Family Endowed Scholarship. The foundation is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization which was established in the year 1989. 

The Calvert Family Endowed Scholarship was set up in 2005 from a blessing by Hayden Morgan Calvert. The scholarship is granted to a junior or senior who is either married or a solitary parent working full or low maintenance while going to classes.


What are the procedures required to apply for this scholarship?

  • The students applying for this scholarship must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to receive this award.

  • Applicants must contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance.

  • Students must demonstrate financial need to meet the eligibility.

  • Applicants must provide an essay writing of fewer than 500 words describing their interest.


Calvert Family Endowed Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $1000 each year which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate each year based on the availability of funds and students meeting their academic progress.


Deadline info

The applications are to be submitted by the end of January 31, 2020. Students are informed to submit their scholarship application and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other information are available online on The CalvertHealth Foundation website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a married or a single parent who is a junior or senior attending classes while working full or part-time.

  • The applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

  • The applicant should display financial need.
