About the Scholarship

Cancer for College, a registered charitable foundation, has provided hope and inspiration to cancer survivors in the form of college scholarships since 1993. Scholarship recipients must maintain full-time enrollment at his/her stated university. The applicants experiencing health-related issues that force them to leave school may request a one-time extension of their scholarship, not to exceed one school year. 

How to Apply?

  • All applicants must fill out the online application form completely to become the recipient of this scholarship award.

  • Applicants should give the details The first two pages of the appropriate 2018 tax return.

  • Letter of Good Standing from the university you are attending.

  • Two-years of Academic Transcripts must be submitted.

  • Additionally, the Confirmation of Cancer Diagnosis Letter should be given.

  • One Letter of Recommendation from someone outside your family.

  • Total Annual Cost of Attendance must be provided to be part of this scholarship award.

Award Amount and Deadline:

The organization is paying $5000 to one eligible candidate per academic year.

The deadline date for this scholarship is 31st January 2019. All applicants must apply for this scholarship on or before the given deadline date

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant may be a cancer survivor.

  • The applicant must be a U.S. resident.

  • The applicant must be a student at California State University, Fullerton.
