About the Scholarship

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, through the generosity of its donors, provides merit-based scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing degrees related to the restaurant industry. Students complete one NRAEF application and the application system will match them to scholarship funds they are eligible for after completing and submitting the application. An applicant should stand exceptional in all, like academics as well as community involvement. 


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • To be considered for this scholarship award, an applicant must fill an online scholarship application which is available on the official website.

  • In addition to the filled application form, he/she must also provide the official document indicating the enrollment in the degrees related to the restaurant industry.

  • The scholarship award is merit-based, hence an applicant must determine that he/she is good at academics as well as co-curricular and community activities.


Award Amount and Deadline:

The Scholarship funding ranges from $2500 to $10000 to deserving candidates based on the funding available.

The scholarship deadline is on 15th March 2020, All applicants must apply for this scholarship before the mentioned date.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a citizen or a legal permanent resident of the U.S.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited postsecondary university or college for an undergraduate degree as a full-time or a part-time student.

  • The applicant must be majoring in a restaurant or foodservice-related program.

  • The applicant must be planning to enroll for at least two consecutive terms.

  • The applicant must not be related to any employees or family members of the National Restaurant Association, National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, any state restaurant association.
