About the Scholarship

The Carol Doman-Wilder Scholarship was established in the year 1996, The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students who are starting or returning to college, and who plan to pursue a career in social work or special education. A scholarship funding is applied to the Saginaw County resident who has enrolled in an accredited Michigan college or University. 


How to Apply for this Scholarship?

  • A student should fill and submit the online scholarship application form which is available at the official website.

  • In addition to that, an applicant must demonstrate the financial need. That must indicate the financial position of his/her family in the view of pursuing higher education.

  • An applicant must provide an essay indicating his/her career goals and academic achievements.

  • A student should also demonstrate that he/she has work experience and involvement in community services.

  • Additionally, an applicant must give a letter of recommendation from his/her faculty member.


Award Amount and Deadline:

 The scholarship award amount varies to all applicants as per the funding available.

All applicants must apply for this scholarship before the last date given.

 


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

  • The applicant must be a Saginaw County resident.

  • The applicant must be pursuing a degree in social work or special education at a Michigan college or university.

  • The applicant must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time student.
