About the Scholarship

Carrington-Philbert Scholarship was established by Malcolm Carrington and Sherwin Bridgewater in memory of their grandparents. The Carrington – Philbert scholarship fund is founded on integrity, honor, and dedication to service. 


What are the requirements needed while applying for this scholarship?

  • Applicants are informed to submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher/principal/counselor.

  • Candidates must submit a copy of high school transcript.

  • Students must upload a photo.

  • The candidates are educated to present their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to get this award.


Carrington-Philbert Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $2500 each year which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the availability of funds and students meeting their requirements.


Deadline info

The applications are to be presented before the end of May 01, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application, and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online on the Carrington-Philbert Scholarship website.

  • The applicant must be an African American, accepted into a U.S. institution as a Freshman.

  • Must pursue a 2-year or 4-year college in the U.S.
