About the Scholarship
The scholarship program is established by the Catholic United Financial Organization, which is available to members of any age seeking to learn a trade, get a certification or complete a college degree. The organization is committed to helping students in availing various financial benefits to pursue the education of their dream.
The organization's post-high school tuition scholarship program gives its members an opportunity to pay for their education with no burden to repay. A candidate must be a recent high school graduate to be eligible to receive the scholarship benefits. Catholic United members of any age pursuing a degree, diploma or certification can apply for the scholarship.
How to Apply for this scholarship?
All the applications are accepted through the organization's member portal system. A student must create an account with the username and password to complete the online scholarship application.
A student must also fill in the details about their level of involvement in a local Catholic United Council or Parish Volunteer Team.
Applicants must also fill and submit FAFSA application form, which implies a student's family financial position for academic education.
In addition to that, an applicant must provide the official transcripts of the college where he/she is studying along with SAT/ACT scorecards.
Award Amount and Deadline
The Organization is assisting the students with $500 annually to any number of applicants.
A student can make use of the scholarship fund to pay for their tuition, room, books, and any more. A student will not receive the fund if they have receive it anytime before. This is the one time benefit for the members of the Catholic United.
All the necessary documents and application forms must be sent to the concerned department no later than April 30 to be one among the eligible applicants to receive the scholarship amount
A student must be a member of Catholic United for at least 2 years prior to the application date i.e, on or before April 30.
An applicant must be entering any year of the first post-high school degree or certificate program in Fall 2018.
Members studying master’s and doctorate degrees are not eligible for the scholarship program.
