About the Scholarship
The CBC Spouses Education Scholarship is provided by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc. (CBCF) in order to encourage African-American students to pursue higher education in the associate’s, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree levels.
The organization has been sponsoring the scholarship for more than 30 years to students who have displayed good standing in academics as well as community services.
The scholarship is available to those students who face financial obstacles while pursuing their education.
More than 200 eligible and talented students from all across the United States are offered the award. The program aims to improve economic development, public health, and financial empowerment.
CBC Spouses Education Scholarship Amount and Awards
The non-renewable award amount is from a range of $500 to $8200. The amount varies with the different awards.
CBC Spouses Education Scholarship Basic Requirements
The applicant must submit a resume explaining the latter’s academics, employment, extracurricular activities, honors, community service, and other special skills along with a recent photograph of graduation.
The student should submit two letters of recommendation from the leader of public or community service via email. Official transcripts are to be scanned and sent as one PDF file.
Two essays of 250 words each are to be sent along with the other documents.

CBC Spouses Education Scholarship Deadline
The deadline to apply for the CBC Scholarship is 30th April. No application will be considered after the last date neither via online nor postal.
Be a United States citizen or permanent U.S resident.
The applicant can be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 Scale.
Show leadership qualities and have done community service.
Selected applicants will be qualified i.e African-American or Black Students.
