About the Scholarship

Charles N. Fisher Memorial Scholarship is accredited by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation, Inc. The foundation is the national association for Amateur Radio in the US. ARRL is a noncommercial organization of radio amateurs.

The Charles N. Fisher Memorial Scholarship is provided for students who have shown an interest in promoting amateur radio and who live in the ARRL Southwestern Division


What are the requirements needed while applying for this scholarship?

  • Students must demonstrate their financial need and interest in promoting the Amateur Radio Service.

  • The candidates are educated to present their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to get this award.

Charles N. Fisher Memorial Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship provides $1000 annually based on the students meeting their requirements which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate each year, depending on the availability of funds.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must major in electronics, communications, or a related field.

  • Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate and graduate award.

  • Must be a licensed radio amateur (any class).

  • Must be a resident of the ARRL Southwestern Division area

  • This award is for international and U.S. students.
