About the Scholarship
The American and German high school students, vocational school graduates and young professionals are awarded the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship Program in order to make education easy by relieving them of the financial burdens.
The governments of the United States and Germany combine to administer the scholarship in order to fund the academic and other expenses.
The scholarship awarded to students irrespective of language, and nationality.
Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship Program Awards
The scholarship amount varies for different level students.
High School applicants must be between the ages of 15 to 18.
The vocational school graduates must be 18 or 19 years old.
The students who are young professionals must be 18 to 24 years old.

As there are three categories of CBYX scholarships, the eligibility criteria, and the application forms are available on different websites.
The application for high school students is available on the official website of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange organization.
Students who are vocational school graduates may apply on the official website of Nacel Open Door organization.
The application for students who are young professionals is available on the official website of Cultural Vistas.
Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship Program Application Deadline
The application deadlines for the three categories may vary. The students are expected to submit the applications before the last date without fail.
The applicant must be a citizen or a legal noncitizen of the U.S.
The applicant must be between the ages of 15 years and 18 years and 6 months at the start of the program.
The applicant must be a high school student.
- The applicant must have acquired a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
