About the Scholarship

Distinguished Young Bobcat Award is licensed by the Stelos Alliance. The foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that was found in 2008, with the mission of helping extraordinary young leaders reach their potential.

The Distinguished Young Bobcat Award was created to recognize a graduating high school senior who is accepted and attending Texas State University following their high school graduation.


What are the requirements needed while applying for this scholarship?

  • The students must submit an essay describing their academic interests, and why did you choose Texas State University?

  • A letter of recommendation is to be submitted from a non-family member.

  • A current resume must be submitted outlining high school and extra-curricular involvement.

  • A recent high school transcript must also be submitted.

  • The candidates are educated to present their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to get this award.


Distinguished Young Bobcat Award amounts to

  • This scholarship award provides $1000 each year, which is non-renewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies depending on the availability of funds and students meeting their requirements.


Deadline Information

The applications are to be presented before the end of March 23, 2020. Understudies are informed to present their grant application, and other requirements are to be submitted before the due date. Applications and other data are accessible online on the Stelos Alliance website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be classified as a senior at a High School in the state of Texas.

  • The applicant must be planning to attend Texas State University the fall following high school graduation.

  • The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
