About the Scholarship
Lincoln Community Foundation manages the Doane College Phil Heckman Scholarship. The organization is a nonprofit organizations that improve the city's growth, and foster community collaboration to address challenges and opportunities, this scholarship is mainly for Seniors planning to attend Doane College. Lincoln Community Foundation has been graning more than 80 scholarships that benefit students in Lancaster County and across the state of Nebraska.
How to apply for this scholarship?
The students applying for this grant must have been completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to receive this award.
Students must demonstrate financial need that includes the Expected Family Contribution number from the student's SAR report.
Students must submit a copy of all high school and college transcripts for courses completed.

This scholarship provides $600 annually which is non-renewable.
The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate each year.
The applications are to be submitted by the end of March 15, 2020. Students are informed to submit their application and other requirements before the due date to meet eligibility. Applications and other related information are available online on the Lincoln Community Foundation website.
A student must be the current graduating senior of a public or private high school in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Applicants must pursue undergraduate studies at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
