About the Scholarship
Doane College Phill Heckman Scholarship is recognized and is sponsored by the Lincoln Community Foundation. A non-profit organization that focuses constantly on improving the city's growth.
This scholarship is mainly for seniors planning to attend Doane College. Lincoln Community Foundation has been graning more than 80 scholarships that benefit students in Lancaster County and across the state of Nebraska.
How to apply for this scholarship?
The students applying for this grant must have to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to determine what a student's family can contribute to education.
Students must demonstrate a need for financial assistance that includes the Expected Family Contribution number from the student's SAR report that is generated once a student fills their FAFSA.
Students must submit a copy of all high school and college transcripts for courses completed to prove their excellence in academics.
Scholarship Award Amount
This scholarship amounts to $600 annually and is non-renewable.
The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to just one deserving candidate each academic year.
The applications are to be submitted by the end of March 15, 2020, with all the necessary documents and application forms. Students are informed to submit their application and other requirements before the due date to meet eligibility. Applications and other related information are available online on the Lincoln Community Foundation website.
A student must be the current graduating senior of a public or private high school in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Applicants must pursue undergraduate studies at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.
Applicants must demonstrate the need for financial assistance.
