About the Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded by the National Council of Jewish Women - Los Angeles Section (NCJW/LA), founded by women who were committed to bringing about social and political change to improve the quality for women, children, and families. They've always been a powerful catalyst for social change. The applicant for this scholarship must be a woman, 25 years or older, re-entering or continuing school.
How to apply for the scholarship?
The applicant should complete the application which can be found on the National Council of Jewish Women site and submit all the supportive documents before the deadline.
Each application can be used to apply for up to two awards. A student must also fill in their FAFSA application form that is used to determine one's financial position to pay for education.
Along with the application, the application must also submit an essay and two recommendation letters.
Additionally, it is mandatory that a student submit a personal statement and official academic transcripts.
How much the scholarship award amounts to?
The award amounts to $1,000 for 2 students per year and is non-renewable.
All the necessary documents must be submitted to the office no later than November 01, 2019 to enjoy the scholarship benefits.
An applicant must be an undergraduate student or graduate student.
A recipient must attend a university, a four-year college, two-year college or a vocational-tech school.
A student applicant must be at least 25 years old and be a United States citizen.
The application is restricted to only female students.
