About the Scholarship

Edward Louis Flom Memorial HCC Scholarship is accredited by Hillsborough Education Foundation. The organization came into existence in 1987, HCC aims at graduating all students in Hillsborough County Public Schools and be prepared with the skills necessary for postsecondary, career, and life success, and every student should have access to and equity of opportunity to benefit from a high-quality education. 


How to apply for this scholarship?

  • The students must have been submitted their Free Application for Federal Student Aid FAFSA application form to receive SAR and determine how much they can pay for their education.

  • Students must sign a pledge of commitment to maintain their grade point average, stay away from drugs and crime, attend school regularly, meet with their mentor and focus on achieving high school graduation and being college-ready.

  • Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance and prove that they are academically strong.


Edward Louis Flom Memorial HCC Scholarship award amounts to

  • This scholarship award provides $2000 annually which is nonrenewable.

  • The total number of awards offered by this scholarship is limited to one candidate every year.

The applications are to be submitted by the end of January 14. Students are informed to submit their scholarship application and other required applications online before the due date. Application and other related information are available on the Hillsborough Community Foundation website.


Eligibility Criteria

  • An applicant should have a minimum of 3 GPA.

  • A student should actively participate in a school's sports teams and must involve in the community services.

  • An individual must demonstrate academic merit and must qualify for free or reduced school lunches.
