About the Scholarship

The ENRE Student Fellowship Program is given to the students who pursue their academic study in Natural Resources and Energy division. The award is given to the students of second-year graduate study. The scholarship is assisting financially to the students who are in great economical burden for their education. The recipients need to give a summary of their project for publication in the ENRE Division's newsletter. In addition to that, an applicant is encouraged to present his or her project at the ENRE Business Meeting during the APA National Planning Conference in the upcoming year 2021. The scholarship selects the students who meet all the eligibility criteria, quality of submitted documents and their thesis/project.


How to Apply for Scholarship?

  • A student needs to fill and submit the ENRE Fellowship application.

  • An applicant must submit a letter of recommendation from his/her thesis guide.

  • In addition to that, an applicant must write a description of their master's degree project. And also it must include details about how it relates to the Division's mission within 800 words.

  • A student must produce resume or curriculam vitae.

  • Additionally, an applicant must submit the official transcripts of the previous year showing a GPA of B or greater that is a minimum of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.


What is the Total Amount Awarded?

The Scholarship awards $1500 to one student per annum, and the awards are non-renewable.

a student must submit all the required documents for a scholarship before 27th September 2019. 


Eligibility Criteria

  • A student must be second-year or a higher graduate student in a planning or planning-related program focusing on an issue related to the environment, natural resource or energy.

  • Students may be full time or part-time student.

  • The recipient should have APA membership and ENRE division membership prior to the submitting fellowship application.

  • The recipient should maintain a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for the scholarship.
