About the Scholarship
The John Jeffries Meteorology Scholarship is awarded to the master and doctorate degree students who pursue a research study on meteorology or meteorological risk modeling as it relates to natural disasters. The scholarship recipient may use the scholarship award only for project-related expenditures that include tuition, room and board, research expenses and/or reasonable travel expenses associated with the presentation of research at the FLASH Annual Conference.
How to Apply for this Award?
An applicant must provide a fully-completed application form in order to begin in this scholarship fund. The applicant must respond to all questions on the application form.
In addition to that, an applicant must provide unofficial transcripts of undergraduate and graduate records.
A student must also give proof of statement or agreement to direct the applicant’s graduate research program from the proposed faculty advisor.
Award Amount and Deadline:
The $1,500 award will be given to one recipient.
All applicants must apply for this award on or before 15th March 2019.
The applicant must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college for higher education.
The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited university or college to pursue a graduate study.
The applicant must be pursuing an Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or Materials Science program in the area of Meteorology or Meteorological risk modeling as it relates to natural disasters.
